This year, we who vote on Fire Island have a unique opportunity of supporting one of 
our staunchest advocates. Angie Carpenter, Suffolk County Treasurer, is running for County Executive, and each one of us, Republican, Democrat, Conservative or 
Independent, should get behind her with rousing enthusiasm.

Angie knows and loves Fire Island like no other elected official. She has been 
vigorously involved with the Fire Island Law Enforcement Council, the Fire Island 
Association and the FI National Seashore. While a member of the county legislature, she intervened with LIPA during the blackout crisis, and with Department of 
Environmental Conservation for beach preservation.

Angie has always been a personal advocate for Fire Island residents regarding critical issues affecting our welfare, with that "hands on" and "let's get the job done" style she that 
is her personal signature. Now it is our turn to get the job done for her!

Several of our communities are planning fundraisers and "meet and greet" parties on 
Angie's behalf. This is our chance to say thanks for her almost 20 years of dedicated 
public service supporting our special island. We do it by raising funds and by bringing 
in a strong, affirmative vote for "Angie For County Executive" in November.
