From our beginning, in the desperate, early days of the AIDS pandemic, the Fire Island Community has been an important part of the God's Love We Deliver family. This year, as we mark 25 years of service, we thank our many friends for your early and continued support.

Sometimes asking people to "celebrate" our many accomplishments doesn't feel right in light of the many lives we have lost over the years. But we do have much to be thankful for today. Our clients are living longer, and enjoying a much improved quality of life, thanks in large measure to the delivery of our individually-tailored and nutritious meals. With the financial support of so many, we are proud that we have never turned away a single eligible person who qualified for our program and we have never resorted to a waiting list.

Today, we not only provide for our clients who are living with 200 unique diagnoses, in addition to HIV/AIDS, but also their children and senior caregivers.

God's Love is thankful for the selflessness and fearlessness of our early supporters. People like our founder, Ganga Stone. And the late John Whyte who, in 1984, created "From the Pines with Love." This became one of the first fundraising efforts ever for God's Love (and for any AIDS organization in the country for that matter).

As the face of HIV/AIDS has changed over the years, our program has changed with it. Today, as our clients are living longer lives thanks to new drug regimens, they are facing the complications that often come with age. To meet these challenges, God's Love has completely revamped our menus.

God's Love has understood that feeding someone can bring hope and dignity to even the most dire situation. Every day, the echoes of a single individual walking down the street, bringing dinner and dignity to a friend in need, carries our mission forward. With your continued love and support, we hope to always be there for our friends and neighbors at a time in their lives when they need us most. Thank you so much.
