What time do you think the last boat should leave your community each day?
“My wife (NYPD) always says nothing good comes after 2 a.m. This of course depends on your definition of ‘good.’ ;) From a safety stand point, why put an intoxicated group of people back on trains/cars to the city? Sleep it off and catch the first ferry back a few hours later. However, from a convenience stand point, I’m sure others will disagree.”

“There should be at least a few late boats from various communities. Nightlife in Fire Island starts late and you don’t always have the chance to stay over to enjoy it.”

“Homeowners should definitely do the deciding on this one… not the ferry services.”

“There needs to be a 3 a.m. ferry; and please consider an hourly ferry on Sunday and Monday mornings.”

“Have you ever taken the “last boat” off? I DO NOT recommend it for the faint of heart—or those underage. I think the docks and boats need more security.”

“God NO; we don’t need to have drunks roaming about the island. We need to reduce that…in Ocean Beach.”
