Dear Editor: In an effort to compensate for the closure of the Woodhull School and community library this summer due to the construction projects scheduled to take place, the Fire Island School District’s Board of Education has entered into an agreement with the Suffolk Cooperative Library System for the months of July and August. During these summer months, residents will be able to access the library collections housed at the Bay Shore – Brightwaters Library and the Islip Library. Residents are encouraged to contact those libraries directly to find out more about this partnership, as well as what qualifies as proof of residency in order to obtain a card to these facilities.
