Dear Editor:
Apparently no one appreciated the time, effort and knowledge shown by Judy Steinman and Gwen Silver when they both appeared at almost every trustee meeting during the 12 months of the year, to listen, comment and represent all of you who didn’t attend the meetings. They took precise notes and published them in the “Notes from the Beach”, so that everyone would be informed. They became so wrapped up in the “goings on” of the village, they decided to run for office. They wanted to continue representing the people of Ocean Beach by keeping them informed and making decisions that would fairly represent the homeowners and not just the business district. Their knowledge of everything that occurred at the meetings, gave them the needed information to step right into the government of Ocean Beach. It’s a shame more people didn’t realize this, by attending meetings and seeing Judy and Gwen’s participation.
