Dear Editor:

The heat was on, Havana on the Bay, chiffon flowing in the breeze, the sound of salsa, and hundreds of people watching the sunset, all helped this to be the largest sellout event ever.

Once again, this could not have occurred without the establishments of our amazing community. They continuously come to support us. No matter what the economy is, they continue to give of themselves, not only to us, but to other fundraisers as well. We are privileged to have them here, as they continue to support us, we should do so also.

To the Albatross, Bocce Beach, CJ's, Castaways, The Hero Shop, The Hideaway, Housers, Maguires, Matthews, The Mermaid Market, Michael's, OBT, Whitneys, Rachels, The Sandbar and Town Pizza, blessings. And to Keith, Chrissy, George and the OB Police for giving of their time and helping things run so smoothly. And of course to John of the Mermaid whose words are always "just tell me what you want me to do.”  To Scott Hirsch and the Mermaid staff once again: THANK YOU.

And most important, a final thank you to those who attended, both old and new. Where would we be without you?
