May 21

8:26 a.m. There was an investigation regarding a boat moored in a transient marina due to fog.

May 23

5:12 p.m. Officers responded to a landlord/tenant dispute at the home of M. McGeever at 186 Wilmot Walk.

May 26

3:40 p.m. Officers responded to a strong smell of gas at 72 Bungalow Walk. The Ocean Beach Fire Department responded.

May 27

9:46 a.m. L. Wenger reported an unknown person dumping old vegetables on his property at 332 Dehnhoff Walk. Officers investigated.

10:27 a.m. R. Bengia reported a male throwing objects at deer.

May 28

1:35 a.m. Police responded to a disturbance at Town Pizza.

10:30 a.m. Officer Dobies issued a notice of violation to Mitch Pollack for violation of a loose dog who was not on a leash.

10:42 a.m. Chief Hesse and Officer Albanese were at 1 Ocean Road on a rental violation, they later issued a summons to Michael L. Marcus for operating without a rental permit.

1:15 p.m. G. Conway reported the larceny of a resin owl decoy from a fence at his residence at 253 Cottage Walk.

1:30 p.m. M. France Smith of 760 Ocean Breeze Walk reported a theft of a Dish network receiver.

6:13 p.m. Officers responded to a complaint reported by D. Hein of 515 Bayberry Walk of people drinking on the beach overpass on Bayberry Walk.

May 29

1:20 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance on the Fire Island Ferry.

2:30 a.m. There was a complaint of an unknown person sleeping on the couch at 178 Wilmot Walk.

11:30 p.m. There was a noise complaint at 748 Ocean Breeze Walk. Officers later issued a summons to Jeffrey Fortgang for noise/shouting and underage consumption.

May 30

12:07 a.m. Officers issued a summons to R. Fitzpatrick for littering. They later arrested him for disorderly conduct.

2:30 a.m. There was a report of a drug possession and foot pursuit of an unknown white male by Officer Bacon.

May 31

8:15 p.m. Officers responded to dogs barking at 233 Wilmot Walk.

June 2

9:30 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance by complainant K. McKenna concerning Richard Ali.

June 3

10:05 a.m. A complainant reported three males on the beach at Bungalow Walk with beer. Officers issued a summons to James R. Goldsmith and Evan R. Mantel for open container violations.

June 4

12:33 p.m. Officer Battista was present with a female child named Julia who lost her parents and were later reunited with them 11 minutes later.

5:40 p.m. Officers responded to a report of sewage leaking into the yard at 61 Ocean Road.

June 5

12:05 a.m. Officers responded to a fight in front of Island Mermaid and charged Dana DiGangi and Mathew Trotta for disorderly conduct.

5:20 a.m. Officer Klokel arrested Joseph A. Haugland for taking out a boat without the permission of the owner and drinking while operating it, and John Codell for also drinking while operating a boat. They were released from custody at 12:40 p.m. The boat in question was released to J. Kornahrens.

2:37 p.m. A lifeguard found a lost child. Officers Battista and Albanese responded and located the child's parents.

June 6

2:50 a.m. There was a walk in complaint of a disorderly conduct and multiple disturbances.

3:10 a.m. Officer Clemmens issued two citations to Theo Gianakos of Ocean Beach for disorderly conduct.

June 7

3:10 p.m. Officers issued a summons to Arthur Menger for illegally docking his boat at the transient dock.

June 8

12:32 p.m. Officers Beyer and Mueller responded to an anonymous complaint at Cottage Walk and the beach regarding people eating and drinking. Suspects were gone on arrival.

June 9

9 p.m. There was walk in complaint of a disturbance as an unknown woman screaming in the area on Bayberry Walk between Bay Walk and Midway.

June 11

12:43 p.m. The OBFD responded to a smell of propane at 373 Dehnhoff Walk.

8:50 p.m. A walk in complainant stated that boat in the transient marina had a broken line from the bow and the boat was unsecured.

10:45 p.m. A complainant at 969 Surfview Walk complained about fireworks at Surf View Walk and Midway. Officers responded.

June 12

1 p.m. Officer Albanese updated the rental investigation at 1 Ocean Road.

June 13

3:28 p.m. Officers arrested Richard J. Ali for disorderly conduct and harassment. Subject was released with a desk appearance ticket.

June 18

4:12 a.m. Officers issued a summons to Jesse Schwartz for violation of objectionable public waste in the form of feces in open view of the public.

3:55 p.m. Justice William Wexler issued an order of protection against Richard J. Ali to stay away from G. Hesse and his family. The order was faxed to the Suffolk county Sheriff's office.

11:55 p.m. Officers arrested Michael L. Ramos for drug possession and issued him a desk appearance ticket four hours after he paid at $250 bail.

June 20

10:04 a.m. Officer Beyer issued a notice to the owner/agent/tenant at 142 Bungalow Walk regarding the anti-litter ordinance.

June 22

6:45 a.m. A lost dog was found at Whitney's Market.

In addition to the above stated there were 37 noise complaints, 33 reports of a lost or stolen property, 23 reported injuries, 21 reported disturbance and/or disorderly conducts, 20 open container violations, 14 reports of found and/or returned property, 12 objectionable waste violations, six cart violations, five reports of fire and commercial alarms, four reported fights, four reports of a unleashed dogs, two garbage violations, two reports of property damage and two reported open doors.
