5:58 a.m. Police responded to a brush fire on Spruce Walk in Fair Harbor. The Fair Harbor Fire Department firefighters extinguished the flames.
May 12
12:36 p.m. A Bay Shore man found a bone at the old U.S. Coast Guard Station in Fire Island Summer Club. Officers took the bone to the Suffolk County Medical Examiner's Office, where experts determined it not to be human.
May 13
1:30 a.m. A Yaphank man pulled a muscle in his lower back trying to pick up a distressed seal with a shovel on the beach in Fair Harbor. The man was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Bay Shore.
May 15
10:45 a.m. An electrical meter caught fire on the side of a Bayview Walk home in Ocean Bay Park. OBP firefighters extinguished the flames. LIPA notified, electrician cut power.
May 21
11:48 a.m. A man died while on a diving expedition in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Fire Island.
May 22
1:45 p.m. A Fire Island Pines man reported that a house guest refused to leave after three weeks. Officers compelled the man to pack his things and leave.
May 24
3:20 p.m. A Fire Island School District bus was involved in a collision with a Jeep Grand Cherokee on the Burma Road east of Robbins Rest. The drivers and a 17-year-old Seaview girl aboard the bus were not injured.

1:24 p.m. An injured seal was found on the beach near Whalebone Walk in Davis Park. The seal returned to the water on it's own.
May 28
11:58 p.m. A 21-year-old East Islip man suffered a possible alcohol overdose at the Ice Palace on Ocean Walk in Cherry Grove. Victim taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore.
May 29
2:50 p.m. A man reported that he was walking on Bayview Walk in Ocean Bay Park when he was hit by a woman riding a bicycle. Neither the biker nor the walker was injured but the woman screamed at the man.
4:36 p.m. A 31-year-old man was issued a summons for an open alcohol container in public in Kismet while boarding a water taxi shortly after an anonymous 911 caller reported men in the area causing a disturbance.
10:45 p.m. An officer told a Hauppauge man to go home after an Ice Palace employee removed him from the club for threatening others with bodily harm.
May 30
2:30 a.m. A fight between a group of up to 40 people was reported at Le Dock in Fair Harbor. All were gone prior to police arrival.
June 5
8:31 p.m. A man reported that his foot was run over by a golf cart driven by a neighbor with whom he is having an ongoing dispute on Windward Walk in Davis Park. Victim not injured.
June 6
6:18 p.m. A Kismet woman reported that she took home an injured bird she found on the beach and will seek treatment for the bird.
June 7
1:02 a.m. A Saltaire man reported that the circuit breaker turned off and the smell of smoke filled his house on Marine Walk. Officers and Saltaire Fire Department firefighters checked the house and found the cause was a bad outlet.
June 9
12 p.m. A Robbins Rest man reported that a town of Islip dog ordinance sign went missing from near Compass Walk home.
June 15
5:33 p.m. A man and woman from Patchogue were removed by officers after being found sleeping inside a home on Ocean Walk in Fire Island Pines.
June 19
5:45 p.m. Officers assisted Fire Island National Seashore rangers who were investigating a report of possible child endangerment at Sailors Haven.
June 20
8:30 p.m. Officers were called to an argument over $75 between a landlord and tenant at Bayview Walk in Ocean Bay Park. Officers advised the landlord to contact the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office to begin the eviction process.
June 21
3:50 p.m. A dog bit a 1-year-old Plainview boy on the beach in Kismet. Victim taken to doctor by family for treatment of three small lacerations to the upper lip.
June 23
9:15 a.m. A Chevrolet Suburban driven by a Verizon employee was involved in a collision with a Ford pick-up truck on the Burma Road in Atlantique. No injuries were reported.
June 24
6:42 p.m. Officers responded to a stove fire on Fifth Walk in Fair Harbor. FHFD firefighters extinguished the flames.
Officers also responded to reports of one water main break, one gas leak, one loose dog, one found dog, one lost piece of luggage, one lost wallet, one found wallet, one found cell phone, two lost cell phones, two dead deer, three trucks stuck in sand, four 911 hang ups, five false alarms, 56 noise complaints and aided 43 sick or injured people.
